|Tommyís musical history started at the age of 10 when he began playing trumpet in school bands. He discovered the bass guitar while listening to "Destroyer" by KISS. Songs like Detroit Rock City & God of Thunder left no doubt in his mind that he was destined to be a bass player! Almost immediately he began playing around Central California with a series of bands that he either formed or joined. Though most of those early bands played only cover tunes, Tommy was becoming aware of the importance of creating and performing original music.
When he was about 17, Tommy was performing with the bands that he feels shaped him into the musician he is today. SILVER HAMMER, VILLAIN, ATTICA, SOULDOG and VICIOUS RUMORS; each band offered lessons, experience...and an unforgettable journey. While in VILLAIN, Tommy recorded and released his first album Only Time Will Tell. The original 1986 vinyl is now one of the most sought after recordings of its genre; prices of $500 or more for a copy is not uncommon!
With VICIOUS RUMORS, Tommy recorded three studio discs: Word Of Mouth, Something Burning & Cyberchrist and a one live disc: A Tribute To Carl Albert. During that time he toured 17 countries and performed for thousands upon thousands of fans. He also produced and edited "Vicious Rumors: The First Ten Years", a 75 minute video showcasing the bands live performances, interviews, touring experiences as well as their four MTV videos.
In his first few years with VR, Tommy and Mark realized a kindred spirit personally and professionally. Though they hadnít been in contact for several years as they each pursued their careers, in August of 2003 Mark invited Tommy to audition for LUVPLANET!
Through the years Tommy has explored many artistic pursuits beyond music. Most notably heís an avid photographer and heís close to completing certification classes in Adobe Photoshop. His camera eye mostly focuses on nature but heís begun to explore photographing people and fashion. Heís also a talented massage therapist who maintains a small but dedicated client base in Sonoma County while not performing with the band.
