Hi everyone!

Well the new cd LUCKY ONE is now released and for sale! The response has been excellent and we are very excited to see what the new year will bring! Nicole and I have already begun writing more new songs for the next one. This machine called Luvplanet seems to be unstoppable!!! We are Luvin it all the way around!
Peace, Mark

October 5, 2007:
Wow time sure flies when you're having way too much fun!

Well the third Luvplanet cd, "Lucky One", has been recorded, and it sounds awesome! Twelve new songs. We really captured a lot of energy and vibe on this recording, and Nicole, Tommy, Scott and myself are very pleased with the results. We recorded it in August at Audio Voyage Studios in Livermore, CA with our pal Brad Barth. He did a fantastic job and really went the extra mile for us in all ways! Thanks Brad, you rock!

Now it's phase two, the mixdown. We've recruited veteran engineer and long time friend, Michael Rosen, to spin the knobs while I am out on tour with Gregg Allman. He and I will connect when I return, and we'll then finish the mix together. He is really stoked to be involved and for us to be working together again. "Lucky One" will be released on 14 February 2008, and we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming shows!!

Here is the track listing:

Gotta Believe
Can't Say No
Lucky One
Need An Answer
All I Want
Wake Me Up
Violence
Dive
Wiser for Wear
Down Daze
Everything
Surrounding the Beautiful

Rock on!
Mark

How's it going LP fans and friends?

Lot's going on here in the Luvplanet camp. New songs are being fine tuned as we are preparing to record our third cd! Those of you who have been coming out to the shows have already heard some these new gems, and we are all really excited to get some new music out there!

Also for you North Bay, CA residents, be sure to tune in to 95.9 FM on Thursday night April 26th as Luvplanet will be performing live in the studio with Andre Channes for his Thursday Night Live radio show! This will be another great plug for the music of Luvplanet. Yes, the word is spreading and we all have this feeling that things are about to steamroll outward and upward for us! We are more into it than ever and it will only increase.

Please help us spread the word as much as you can, you know we appreciate it very much!

Until next time, all the best to and yours!! Peace,
Mark, Nicole, Tommy & Scott

December 20, 2006:
Hey Guys, I know it's been a while since I've written. I've been using MySpace to communicate ever since we lost our guestbook. I want to let you all know what's been going on with us and what the plans for the future are. We played A LOT of shows all over the West Coast this past summer and worked up several new songs for our next release, which I am hoping will put us in the studio this spring. We seem to be growing into our sound as a band. It's rockin' and more straight to the point with our signature twists and turns here and there. We've gotten a great response from the "To Sir With Love" recording, so we may just have to throw it on there as well. We had so much heavy personal stuff going on during the recording of State of Mind, which definately came through in the music, so I guess I am excited to see what kind of energy we will be able to project on the next one.

We decided to stay close to home this winter and find some local clubs to play regularly, which has been really great. We have been seeing a community of awesome people start to happen, and it's growing all the time. I love being part of the excuse for people to go out and mingle amongst each other. We are working on several summer music festivals all over the U.S., so I will keep you posted as they get closer.

That's what we've been up to lately, feel free to drop us a note anytime. The Holidays are fast approaching and I wish you all the best and hope to see you somewhere down the road. Go and see live music whenever you get a chance, and try to support original artists if you can. The future of music depends on it. Much love and peace to you all,
Nicole

October 6, 2006:
Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since our last message to all of you out there. Luvplanet has been busy performing and writing songs for our 3rd cd! New cd titles being tossed around are "Surrounding the Beautiful" and "Lucky One". These are both new songs we've been touching on. Yes indeed there is much to look forward to from Luvplanet, and we are all stoked at the positive response you've all given us! It only motivates us more to continue doing what we're doing, so thank you for the Luv, belief and support! Fall is here, we are feeling the creative, magical forces within us and know this is gonna spill over into our music. We can't wait to see you at the shows and share more positive vibes with you all. Until next time, live well and spread the LUV!!!
Peaceout ~ Nicole & Mark

May 1, 2006:

April 30, 2006:
Hi everyone! Well it's been a while since I've posted here. Lots of good things are going on. State of Mind is currently being distributed to about 30 different digital downloading sites all around the world, including ITunes, MSN Music etc. Luvplanet is also in negotiations with another distribution company so that our cd will be available in stores nationwide! More about this in the coming weeks. Aside from that, we have some great gigs coming up and a bunch more in the works.

Yesterday we went in to Fantasy Studios in Berkeley with my long time friend and engineer Michael Rosen (Todd Rundgren, Journey, Green Day, VR) and cut tracks for 2 of our new songs, Down Daze and Dive! Yes it is true: the 3rd Luvplanet cd has been started. This of course will not happen overnight but will be in the works until it's completion. We are all very excited about the new developments, and we hope to see you at our upcoming shows! They will be big big fun for all. I promise!! Much Luv to you all!!

March 31, 2006:
Hey Planet-teers!
I'm writing this in pure amazement at the speed in which this year is buzzing by! Are you feeling it too or is it just me? I know it's one of those clichés that we hear and say all the time, but didn't we just celebrate the New Year? What do you mean it's April? Oh well, these thoughts just remind me how much we need to embrace and enjoy the moments we have for what they are and not to forget to tell those around us how much Love we have for them.

As for LP, the time since our last posting here has been very productive! Mark has been working his butt off on Luv-Biz and we have a lot of great things on the table as well as some great shows lined up, like Uli Jon Roth on the 19th of May, Y&T on the 20th plus the long awaited and much anticipated show at The Mystic Theatre in our hometown of Petaluma on May 27th! We'll be playing with Zepparella, an All Female Zeppelin Tribute band that's smokin'!! The State of Mind CD reviews are starting to roll in and it looks as though our music is reaching the planet…and they Luv it!!! Check out our Live Calendar and Reviews Sections here at luvplanet.net. Keep requesting us for airplay at the following radio stations! Till next time, Much Luv!

February 7, 2006:
Hey everyone! Well, so much has been happening lately it's been pretty surreal. The shows have been more amazing than ever, and the airplay on The Bone has really been a dream come true. Somehow the songs really do sound better on the radio! We have been playing a cover song at our shows for the last couple of years called "To Sir With Love", and we were given a great opportunity a couple of weeks ago, from Mooka at Prarie Sun Studios, to go in and record it. It turned out great and will be available on our site very soon as a free mp3 download. Prarie Sun is an exceptional studio, and the people there are among the best we've worked with. There is much more news on the way, and the show with Pat Travers rocked... completely. I wish you all the best and hope the bright side is where you choose to focus your thoughts and energy. By the way, if anyone has any pics of LP at the Travers show, please send them our way. We'd love to see 'em! Luv and squeezes,
Nic

February 4, 2006:
Thanx to all our friends and fans for making last night's show with guitar legend Pat Travers a huge success! The packed house was rocking hard and screaming at the top of their lungs! An awesome night and big fun for all of us. Can't wait til the next one! Peaceout,
Mark

January 19, 2006:
Well, 2006 is already proving to be a fabulous year. San Francisco rock station 107.7 FM The Bone radio station ( www.1077thebone.com ) has been spinning Life Goes On from the State of Mind cd. It's being included in the station's Tuesday night Local Licks show from 9 to 10pm west coast time. Nicole and I were interviewed for the Local Licks show and Luvplanet will be the featured artist in the coming weeks so tune in and catch it! We'll be playing 3 tracks from the new cd with a nice interview. Now is an ideal time to request Luvplanet on the Bone at 1-888-303-BONE or email Billy Steel at bsteel@thebone.net .

Also, looking forward to the next Luvplanet show with Pat Travers on Feb 3rd in Concord, CA @ Bourbon Street ( www.bourbonstreetrocks.com ). Best wishes,
Mark

January 1, 2006:
Happy New Year to all our fans, friends and loved ones!! We are looking forward to many more shows and bigger success in 2006, and we hope you all will be with us for the ride! We appreciate you all so much for your support and belief in Luvplanet! All the best to you and yours in '06!!! Sincerley,

November 22, 2005:
A huge thank you to all our friends and fans who came out to the 19 Broadway show on Nov 17th. You really made it a special night for the band and myself. It was by far one of the most memorable birthdays I've ever had and I'll never forget that night!
Luv to you all!!!
Mark

November 8, 2005:
Hey everyone! Wow, there's been so much happening lately. More memorable shows with Nicole, Tommy & Scott promoting the second Luvplanet cd "State of Mind" as well as reuniting with my old band mates in Vicious Rumors to discuss possibilities for a reunion!

Geoff, Larry, Dave and I got together for a couple of nights and rehearsed many classic VR songs. Aside from my favorite Marshall amplifier blowing up both nights, it went very smooth. The band sounded great, and it was so much fun! The only thing missing was the one and only Carl Albert...

Unfortunately, even though we share so much history and great memories together, this is a business. After thinking long and hard about our discussions and the amount of commitment it would take to pull off the offer that was presented, I sadly had to decline. It was a tough decision to make, and of course Nic, Tommy and Scotty were completely supportive of whatever I chose to do. I know a lot of fans out there would love to see this happen some day, including myself! However, Luvplanet's where my heart and soul is now.

I came to the conclusion that I simply have way too many goals and too much invested in Luvplanet to give up the amount of time and energy that a full-fledged Vicious Rumors reunion would take from Luvplanet. Schedules would eventually clash, and Luvplanet is my priority. A reunion with a new cd and tour would be too special to not give my full commitment to. It just wouldn't be a positive situation for Vicious Rumors or myself, nor would it be fair to the band, the fans and the legacy.

I wish Vicious Rumors the very best. And who knows, maybe some day in the future there will be another chance for such an exciting reunion! Much Luv,
Mark

November 4, 2005:
Well the band would like to give a huge thanx to all the wonderful people that rocked with us at the Last Day Saloon last weekend. You really made our show with The Tubes a success and definitely a night to remember! Big fun and much Luv from myself and the rest of the band! Can't wait to do it again!! Peace.

October 13, 2005:
Just about the time I was asked to join Nicole, Mark and Scott in Luvplanet, I had been coming off of a time where I was recovering from a rough ride playing heavy music. Things came to a point for me when, for no one specific reason, I was actually burned out on being a musician, it wiped me out. Through the years, I had always promised myself that if this ever became too much of a job, that it was no longer fun, I would stop; which I did. This of course didn't last too long. When something stirs so deep in one's soul as the knowing that music is the path that must be traveled, that something cannot be simply put aside and marked as done. As each day came and went, I was becoming more and more aware that this just wouldn't be denied. So, I started building a website, put out to the universe that I was coming back. I formed the images in my mind, creating the mental reality that I was performing, successful and most of all: Happy. Then, Mark leaves me a message at the guestbook on my website and flash…here I am, a member of Luvplanet and very happy.

Through the year 2005, which is just about my (gulp) 30th year as a bass player, I'm achieving more than I could have hoped. State of Mind is absolutely the best-recorded performance I've ever created as a bassist thanks to the inspiration of Mark's incredible talents and the pure cohesiveness the four of us have together. I've also been invited to play with other bands, which I've done. In June, I traveled to Europe twice to play a few festivals with Vicious Rumors, and I've also been invited to record and do a short European tour with 80's Bay Area band Ruffians. I've also done sit in gigs with Gator Alley, a Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute band and you know, I do enjoy doing this stuff...absolutely LUV traveling through Europe! But, nothing, and I mean NOTHING makes me feel as good as I do when I play with Luvplanet. By being a part of this band, I've surrounded myself with brilliant musicians, lifelong friends, and most importantly, family. Luv-life is good.

Hoping your year has been as good.
Tommy

July 28, 2005:
Hey There! Luvplanet has some shows coming up that you won't want to miss. This coming Wednesday August 3 at Blakes on Telegraph is gonna be a biggie with Coal Pitts Wash. This show is 18 and over. The following week we are back at the Sweetwater on Tuesday August 9 for a North Bay cd release party. We know it's tough to make it out on these mid-week shows but it would really help to show your support now so we can secure weekend nights at these places. We appreciate all you are and do and we know that it takes more than just the artist to make the magic of music come alive, it takes all of us sharing the experience together. Be well and see you soon,
Nicole, Mark, Scott and Tommy

July 18, 2005:

It will be an evening with Luvplanet at Tommy Rocks A-Town, showtime is 10pm and everyone will receive a free cd with admission to the show! July 2nd, 2005:
Hi everyone. I just wanted to wish you all an exciting 4th of July weekend. Please remember why we celebrate this sacred day. Also at this time, I think it's important to remember all our brave young men and women serving in the military that are out there fighting battles in the name of freedom. If not for them, we would not have all the great freedoms and life we've come to know and luv! So rock hard, celebrate and be safe!! Peace,
Mark

June 21st, 2005:
Happy Solstice Everyone!
We have been very busy with the new cd and life in general lately. There seems to be so many lessons going on on so many levels, it is mind blowing. Good things are happening though and there is much more on its way, so I have a feeling it's all about being ready for it. We have been getting great response about "State of Mind" and are starting to shop it to some different labels. It's important to us that whoever gets involved really believes in the music and us. Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart received their copies about a week ago, we'll see what they think. They have been a huge inspiration to all of us over the years. I can't wait to play in July, there are some new songs we are going to try out that are sounding and feeling great. There's a lot more to say, but I've gotta run for now. I hope you are all making the best of life and celebrating in your own way tonight! Much love and peace always,
Nic and LP

May 16th, 2005:
I just wanna say that you all over at SSU are just awesome! We had a great time on Saturday performing at Sonoma State University, and we appreciate the response you gave to our new music! We'll see you again, I promise. Best wishes!

May 5th, 2005:
Well we've arrived!! The new Luvplanet "State of Mind" cd is out, and we can't wait to get out there and play some shows for all you planeteers out there. I'm super excited for everyone to hear this one. It's filled with lots of ear candy. See you at the next show!

On a side note, tonight I had the pleasure of recording guitar tracks for Hollywood Records recording artist Christian Burns (BBMAC fame). It was a remake of the classic Tears for Fears song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World". I did some rhythms and the solos, cool version. Michael Urbano (Smashmouth) played drums and Dave Palmer (Seal) played keyboards with Jeff Saltzman (Killers) in the producer chair. It will be included on Christian's upcoming solo cd as well as the soon to be released Disney movie and soundtrack, "Sky High" starring Kurt Russell, Kelly Preston and many others! Yep, my first gig for Mickey, Minnie & Goofy! Very kewl!! Peaceout,
Mark

April 14, 2005:

It's our first show since we went in the studio and we can't wait to see everyone. Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the transition into springtime! See you soon

March 15th, 2005:
Well, my trip down south proved to be very rewarding. John Golden did an incredible job mastering the new cd "State of Mind". We are preparing the artwork, and it will be going to press ASAP. It turns out that John has worked on more albums than you can imagine, and his knowledge of sound has added the final touch to the sound of our recording. We are already excited to record the next Luvplanet cd, but we are trying to catch our breath and pace ourselves. There is plenty to do now in support of this new release. We have so many new songs that haven't been recorded yet that, aside from the tracks on State of Mind, you will defintely hear some brand new songs added to the live set. Also, we will be putting up some sound bites from the new cd in the coming weeks. So be sure to check back soon and catch a sneak preview!! Peace & luv,
Mark

March 5th, 2005:
Sitting here in limbo......     So Mark heads out on Wednesday to master the cd, and then we send it out to be pressed and packaged! I'm looking forward to hittin' the road and mixing up the energy. Tommy and I just had a long talk about our dreams and how jazzed we are to be in this band. We are all looking forward to sharing good times and good music with people. I saw my friend Dominic's band the other night, "Love Equals Death," at the Pheonix. They were great! The singer was awesome, and Dom is a natural front man. They were pretty heavy/punk, but they had this ballad that killed. I could totally hear it on the radio. It's always inspiring to check out other bands, music is so cool! We also saw the movie Constantine last week....I thought it was awesome, but I like that kind of stuff. Anyway, just wanted to check in and let you all know where I'm at. Can't wait for spring, and I can't wait to see you! Send Mark some good vibes down in Ventura this week! Luv,
Nic

March 1, 2005:
Good news on the Luvplanet front! I'll be heading down to LA next week to get the new Luvplanet songs mastered and ready for pressing. These last few weeks before packaging the cd are quite tense. I get really impatient waiting for it to be all done. We're excited to get the new album in your hands. I'll be working very closely with experienced mastering veteran, John Golden. Together we'll put the final sonic icing on the cake. Someone once said to me, "There's no way to ruin a great mix than with a bad mastering job". It's quite true really. Mastering a record is the final phase of getting it to sound just right. John has mastered many classic records over the last 30 years. Anything from Heart to Green Day to Joni Mitchell. I have a really good feeling about everything. We are shooting for a late March release date, so check back soon and get your copy. I promise, you will not be disappointed. There's definitely something for everybody on this one.
Mark

February 7, 2005:
Well, well, well. The new cd State of Mind is finally finished. It will be mastered this month and will be packaged and available sometime in March. It was a lot of long hours and hard work, but we managed to turn out a collection of songs and performances that are filled with vibe and conviction. It's always a trip to see how the songs come out. You kind of have your own vision for the material, but the songs always seem to take on some of their own personalities once they're recorded. I'm so proud of Nicole, Scott & Tommy's performances on this cd. Everyone really stepped up to the plate and delivered the goods.

One of the most important aspects of making an album is putting every song in just the right place. This can really affect the feel and pace of the record. We've been testing out different song orders for the cd, and I think we may have it. The current song order is:

Life Goes On / State of Mind / More Than I Do / Last Chance / Love You Madly / Gem / Something's Waiting / Girl / Faded / You Are The One / Highway Song / Home

Who knows, it may change again. We'll see soon enough I guess. Well until next time, be well and be happy!
Mark

January 8, 2005:
It's a big day! It was a stormy afternoon and evening, the wind was howling and the rain was coming down hard. And just as the final guitar track was finished, there was a clearing, the wind stopped and the stars were twinkling above our heads. I have a very good feeling. There are no words to express what Mark was able to communicate through his guitar today, you'll just have to hear it for yourself. We're planning an early March release for the new cd... "State of Mind"!!! Hope everyone is making the best of the new year, and I hope to see you all soon. Luv,
Nicole

December 31, 2004:
Hey Everyone! Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year! The new cd will be finished and in our hands by March 1st. We worked really hard to get it done and can't wait for you to hear it. I have a really good feeling about this coming year and I wish everyone much love, health and happiness. Take care and we'll be in touch soon.

December 4, 2004:
Like many of you who live the artist's life, we sometimes find it necessary to keep a day gig while we chase our dreams and rainbows. I've learned that the key to surviving this process is to seek out and find that which seems to be most elusive: a job that I enjoy; at least a little bit. If I'm going to spend 8 to 10 hours of my day doing something for someone else, I at least want to find some peace in it.

And this is, of course, easier said than done. At least I've managed to do pretty good this time around. I've had quite a few jobs in my day. As the saying goes: "Jack of all trades." I'm working for a company called Illuminations that sells scented candles. Some say, the best candles available in the states. A pretty Zen gig, but it's a job nonetheless. As I spend the hours of my day staring at a computer screen and talking to customers, some angry, some cool, I'm aware that a majority of my thoughts revolve around Luvplanet. Being here at work is just another of the constant reminders of what it is I know, without question, I'm meant to do in my life. Being a bass player, being a musician. And now, I'm able to do it within the embrace of Luvplanet.

Thinking of this reminds me of what is so great about recording. Even though Scott & I finished our tracks weeks ago, we are there at the studio with Nicole & Mark as they work on the most tedious, time-consuming part of the process: Vocals. Which by the way are sounding absolutely amazing! You guys are gonna dig it. But, being there, within this process, everything feels as it should. That we're doing what we're supposed to be doing.

So anyway, after vocals, then there's Mark's guitar solos. This is gonna be stellar! You guitar heads who have been waiting for that definitive guitar offering from Mr. McGee, this may very well be that offering! Having the honor to work with such a talent not just once but twice in my career is nothing less than breath taking! Matching that with the incredibly talented & beautiful Nicole and my rhythm brother Scotty-man, it's no wonder my mind wanders! Till next time, Cheers & Luv,
Tommy

November 29, 2004:
Well , I am completely wiped out and pumped at the same time. We just finished another weekend in the studio doing vocal trax, my ears and my brain are shot for the moment but I think we got some incredible stuff. Mark is a slave driver, and for that I am eternally grateful. It's weird how the rest of your life is on hold when you're recording. The days pass by so fast it's crazy. I am realizing how important it is to enjoy the ride and to breathe.... I am too tired to think anymore, I am gonna go watch Cheers and chill. I wish you love,
Nicole

November 23, 2004:
Well, the magical work in the studio continues. On Sunday, Nicole began tracking her vocals and let me tell you, I was completely seduced by her impassioned performances. I'm now beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. She sang the title track "State of Mind" and the song "More Than I Do". Two very different types of songs, and both were just incredible. She is truly gonna shine on this record. The centerpiece of everything. I am feeling really, really lucky!!
Mark

November 17, 2004:
This past weekend we began the next phase of the recording for our new cd, "State of Mind", and it went great! We are now recording at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, CA. The engineer 'Jason' has a great vibe, and we are enjoying working with him. This past weekend was guitar time. I recorded all the electric rhythm guitars for all 12 songs as well as solos for 2 of them. After some ghost in the machine type bugs that needed working out, the tracking began to flow. This record will surely rock harder than the debut cd. I think all guitarheads will enjoy what I'll be putting down on this one. Nicole is now so psyched to start cutting vocal tracks this coming weekend. The vocal arrangements for this record are stellar, and Nicole is sounding better than ever! On a side note, today is my Birthday. Yep, 21 again. Ha, ha, ha. Well that's all for today my friends. Check back soon for more recording info.
Mark

November 11, 2004:
Today the new cd, "Give Us Moore! - Gary Moore Tribute", was released on the Lion Music label. Luvplanet performs the classic Moore tune "Don't Take Me for A Loser" from Gary's 1983 release, "Corridors of Power". We recorded this several months ago at Audio Voyage Studios, and it came out just fabulous. To read more about this new release, go to www.lionmusic.com. I'm not sure if it's been released officially here in the USA, but I'm sure you can get it via import. If you don't know anything about Gary Moore, he's one of rock's greatest guitarists and definitely a big influence of mine. Enjoy!!

November 7, 2004:
Hello to all from Nicole, Mark, Tommy & Scott! Welcome to our new Journal page. Here we'll be posting anything from studio updates to personal thoughts. This is the first message to all you Planeteers out there on our new Journal page here at LP.net, and it's come at the perfect time. As you know, we began recording tracks for the new cd "State of Mind" this past weekend. All I have to say is, AWESOME!!! Scott and Tommy layed down the most amazing bass and drum tracks for the 12 new songs that will be on our new cd. The songs are State of Mind, Life Goes On, Last Chance, Faded, Love You Madly, Gem, Highway Song, Something's Waiting, You Are The One, Girl, More Than I Do, Home. The song Home is a 13 minute long epic, which goes places not many bands go anymore. We recorded them at Audio Voyage Studios in Livermopre California with engineer Brad Barth, and we are stoked about the sound and performance so far! Tommy and Scott sound so good. It's such an amzing feeling to write the songs, prepare them and then finally get in and start recording. This feeling you never get used to. It's like the closer that you get to completing them, the more anxious you get about finishing. We're all so pumped up about this record, it's hard to put into words. One thing we know is you're gonna love it!!! Peace,
Mark
